The circular saw does most of it.
I clean up the corners with the jig saw.
And cut down with the jig saw.
The first notch is cut and the material is removed.
Now I gotta fit a hatch into that.
Trying out a two piece hatch.
Notice the hatch overhangs the body a bit?
The bottom part drops away. The top part lifts up.
Hmmmm I'm not crazy about that.
Where shall we mount the lights?
That'll work.
Checking out the fit behind the VW Jetta.
It looks like a good fit.
I'm ready to go. Too bad the weekender isn't.
Reworking the hatch. 4 of these brackets should make it plenty strong.
The first two installed. yep, that'll work just fine.
Looks good.
I like this arrangement much better.
I could do drop down doors... nah...
Sliding doors would be much better.
I slide the body back into the carport. There are too many design challenges that I have to work out.
I'm trying to package too much stuff into this little trailer.
I'd better go back inside and figure out what I am really trying to achieve.
Even the front storage area is not to my liking.
The cabinet area isn't bad though.
The weekender disassembled and sitting in the basement, to protect it from the elements.
