Frank taks over the project.
Stripping down a Scotty for parts
Getting to the frame, but what happened to the yard?
Modifying the frame to suit...
We got a frame, but check out that cool torsion axle!
Needs a lot of cosmetic surgery
Wondering where to start
Insulation is as good a place as any to start.
Cutting all the pieces by hand. Shouldn't I be using a table saw?
The supervisor checks out my progress.
Supervisor is keeping a watchful eye on me... and the saw...
Working on the floor/subfloor
Ya know, this front storage area is going to get modified.
Added a flat area so that we can store more than just blankets in there.
The cabinets are nice. But we want drawers too.
The area for the roof vent is framed in. Hmmm... should I make this material 1 1/2" think so I have something to screw the roof vent to?
All those roof panels have to be insulated too.
More insulation required back here too.
Got the doors built up and the windows installed. Looking better!
Another view of the door.
Still have a long way to go.
Gluing up the face frame.
This little shelf should do the job nicely. Also some nice decorations in the TV area.
The fridge from the Scotty goes back here. And look... lots of room for the A/C to breathe.
A pull out stove just like in the Lil Diner.
The finished interior cabinets.
The doors get stained and finished.
The Weekender gets an inside sealing surface.
Working on the front storage modification some more, and adding a tongue chest.
So now you know how I made the front storage area larger.
