Disclaimer

WARNING:  Never sleep in the Zephyr or any trailer of similar design with all the windows closed.  Always keep the vent or a window cracked open, or you may suffocate.  Never use candles or flame in a tiny trailer.  12 v DC batteries contain strong acid that will burn exposed skin; these batteries vent gasses that are explosive if exposed to flame.   The camp stove described in the Zephyr uses propane which is explosive and should be used only according to manufacturer’s instructions.

Building a camping trailer is an enjoyable hobby.  But it can be dangerous. There are inherent risks when using power tools.  The finished camper must be road-worthy, safe and in full compliance with all laws.   Always wear protective gear and follow manufacturer’s safety instructions. The Zephyr was amateur-built.  The Build Journal is not intended to provide complete step-by-step information for others to duplicate what I have done, or to successfully build a trailer.   It only tells the story of what I did to build my tiny trailer.  Neither the publisher nor the author assumes any responsibility for errors, inaccuracies, omissions or information that may be deemed inconsistent.  The Build Journal contains no certified information.  If anyone uses this information to build a tiny trailer, the user assumes full responsibility to verify all aspects for safety and for compliance with all State and Federal transportation laws.  Consult with a mechanic who is certified to inspect trailers for road-worthiness for answers to any questions about highway safety. Consult with an electrician about NEC compliance.
